I can't believe that this is my last full week working on the film. It has gone by super quickly! On an exciting note, I sort of got promoted to a paid Costume Production Assistant position for the last 4 days of work...Thursday through next Tuesday. This is great because I would have been there working those days anyway. The only thing this means is that I have to drive the costume van. Driver's licenses are valuable commodities around here; I'm glad I have one and have good driving experience! Today was both my first day driving a minivan and also my first day driving in Manhattan. It was also POURING rain. However, all in all, it wasn't too bad!
My week has been pretty eventful thus far. On Tuesday, I went to set to help dress all of the background actors in Dionysus' Den ( basically a huge party / club scene). The blonde lady in the cream sweater is the designer; the brunette lady with the long swishy gray skirt is the assistant designer. Jess and I also got to watch the scene from the sidelines, but these photos are from "extras holding" aka where the extras get dressed and wait.
A wonderful coffee place by my work in SoHo. I'm usually not a coffee drinker but I will from here!
They use such pretty coffee cups, too.
On Wednesday night Anna came back from school for the Jewish holidays, and it was perfect because it was also the night of the cast party! Filming officially ended on Tuesday, and now we are in "wrap," short for wrap up, I guess. Did I mention that I got hired as the Costume Production Assistant for the 4 days of wrap? It's great, because I would have been going to work anyway, for free.
Anyway, the cast party was fun, and even better that Anna could come. It was in the penthouse of some building, and had this great view of the city and neat pink bubble chandeliers...
