Fashion's Night Out is Anna Wintour's way of reviving the economy. It all started a few years ago, during some of the worst times for retailers. I guess Ms. Wintour decided she needed to get people excited about fashion again, and decided to start Fashion's Night Out, an official night-before-fall-fashion-week city-wide party! Essentially, all stores are open late, serve food or cocktails, have music, celebrity appearances, random promotions like free goody bags or manicures...you get the picture.

I only had time to explore one part of the city, so I chose SoHo. The streets were absolutely packed.

You know what is incredible? As I was looking through my photos from the night, I recognized the outfit of the girl on the right in the picture below, and her profile / hair looked strangely familiar, and I realized that it is Kelly from the Glamourai. Too bad I was too much in a daze to realize it was her in the moment! I would have loved to meet her.

Everyone was taking photos of the net-a-porter.com store "window." I'm not sure if they are actually opening a store there or if they are just trying to be cheeky. Either way, they were definitely creating a buzz.
And why not pair a white tee shirt with a flaming orange feather skirt?
What a great night to go out sightseeing in SoHo!
